The Food Production and Inventory Management System is a comprehensive software solution designed for businesses and professionals engaged in food production and the management of related processes. Developed to support food manufacturers, commercial kitchens, catering services, and food processing plants, this system streamlines daily operations by integrating inventory management, production tracking and quality control, food costing and supply chain management into a single platform optimized for computers running on the Windows Operating System.
This software can be deployed as a standalone program on a single workstation or scaled across multiple terminals within a Local Area Network (LAN) to accommodate larger production teams and facilities.
The Food Production and Inventory Management System has enabled our local client to overcome key operational challenges in the actual food production and post-production monitoring activities such as inventory tracking, production planning, cost vs price control and food waste reduction. By implementing this solution, the client was able to achieve:
Tracking of raw materials, ingredients, pre-packaged and finished food products are now possible in real time with the RDMS. These food production inventories can now be managed and tracked efficiently without the fear of overstocking supplies and the occasional wastage of perishable raw ingredients.
Costs associated in the production of food can now be measured realistically and efficiently. The overall food production process can now be tweaked in real-time to compensate for the volatility in the pricing of key ingredients and kitchen supplies.
The FPIMS bridged the knowlege and communication gap between the kitchen and the various people involved in the sale of food; salespeople can now design profitable food menus without the hassle of involving kitchen personnel in the costing and sales process - thereby helping the client make better financial and kitchen management decisions in the long run.
The Food Production and Inventory Management System is powered by the following platforms and technology providers:
